Universities will be told they should recruit more white, working-class boys in the wake of figures showing a massive slump in applications from men for courses.
The Universities minister David Willetts wants white, working-class teenage boys put in the same category as students from other disadvantaged communities and ethnic minorities – as groups that should be targeted for recruitment.
It is certainly true that white working-class boys have
distinct disadvantages in Britain. But
telling them that they are victims, and that they need extra help from the man
only encourages the victim mindset, which hasn’t worked out so well for other
minorities. While I’m certainly opposed
to social policies that favor people because of their race, social status,
etc., I don’t think that the solution to the problem of social favoritism is
more favoritism for more classes.
Also, given the victim mentality of minorities and the attendant
consequences, it would make absolutely no sense for those who profess to be
white nationalists to favor this policy because there are not many policies
that would do a more thorough job of destroying the white race than this policy
which turns white males into victims. If
WNs want to know the impact this policy would have on whites forty years from
now, they need only look at what has happened to black people over the last
forty years. Asking to be treated like a
victim is the surest way to become one.
